We cannot recommend The Boat House at Aston Marina in Stone, Staffordshire highly enough. From the moment we chose them as our wedding venue, every detail was handled with the utmost care and professionalism, and they made our day truly unforgettable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every request we made was tailored perfectly to ensure our wedding was exactly how we imagined it.

A very special thank you must go to Lizzy, our Wedding Manager, who brought all our ideas and wishes to life. Whenever we had a request, she went above and beyond to make it happen, and her dedication meant we felt completely confident that our day would be everything we hoped for.

Ash, who supported us as our Wedding Co-ordinator and through catering, was another incredible part of our journey. From our food tasting event she gave us such a memorable experience that we specifically asked for her support on the big day. She tailored everything to our exact needs with great attention to detail, especially with allergy and dietary requirements. Ash is a real asset to The Boat House and her presence made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to relax and enjoy the day fully.

Alex, also in Wedding Co-ordination and catering, played a vital role from the day before right through to the wedding itself. He worked tirelessly to ensure our vision came to life, often offering professional insights that made our ideas even more elegant and unique. His contribution was invaluable.

Together, Ash and Alex were a fantastic team. Their approach on the day was the perfect balance of flexibility and structure, which ensured that not only we but all our guests had an enjoyable and memorable experience. We truly could not have done it without them, and every couple deserves such a supportive duo on their wedding day.

A huge thank you as well to all of the bar staff who worked so hard to keep our guests happy and hydrated throughout the day. Every drink was served with a smile, and the atmosphere was always welcoming. A special shout out to the barmaid who poured her very first Baby Guinness and absolutely smashed it! a little moment that added to the fun and memories of the day.

The venue itself was nothing short of perfect. Having exclusive use of the grounds meant that all of our guests could enjoy both the inside and outside areas freely, without any distractions or interruptions. The outdoor space was beautifully spacious and the addition of garden games brought such a fun and relaxed atmosphere. With two licensed areas for ceremonies, both indoors and outdoors, couples have the choice of setting that best suits them, which is a wonderful option.

In every way The Boat House delivered beyond our expectations. The venue, the team and the service combined to create the most special day of our lives. Everything we could have hoped for was here, and more. We would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect place to celebrate their wedding.

Right from our first communication with Aston Marina, the staff could not have been more helpful. When we initially booked our wedding date we were given all the information we needed and advised on timings of when everything would happen. We had a menu tasting event well ahead of our wedding which gave us plenty of time to decide on our options (all of which were delicious!). Any email queries we had were responded to quickly and professionally (and we had lots of questions!). Abby was an absolute star both in person and over email and we were never made to feel like anything we wanted was too much. On the wedding day, the staff made sure everything ran smoothly and communicated with our suppliers so we could enjoy our day. Ash kept us updated with timings throughout the day and was there when we needed him. So many of our guests commented how beautiful the venue was and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Great bar, delicious food, helpful staff, an absolutely beautiful setting for a wedding, would 100% recommend this venue!

Alice and I had our wedding at Aston Marina on Sunday and it was the most perfect day from start to finish. After viewing a handful of venues, we went for the Boat House and we haven’t regretted it at all!
From the initial booking of the wedding to the final moments, Lizzy and Abby and the rest of the team have been incredible. Nothing was too much trouble for them at all. They were many steps ahead at every point of the wedding journey, truly displaying the incredible expertise the team had, everything ran like clockwork.

The gorgeous waterside location makes for the perfect backdrop for photos and ceremony, we are so glad the weather was on our side and got to have our ceremony and canapés outside, it really was incredible. We have had so many comments about the day and the food in particular where we have been told it was the best food many have had at a wedding ever and we don’t disagree at all – it was insane!

I don’t feel like a review like this can do the team and venue justice. If you are struggling to decide between two venues – choose The Boat House, you will not regret it.

Wow just Wow, from our first meeting with Abby when scouting possible venues, we felt completely at ease, no pressure at all. Abby is very friendly, whilst professional & goes above & beyond to help. We tied the knot here on Monday 25th March 2024, Absolutely Phenomenal, this was the first venue we visited and we instantly fell in love, from our first meeting with Abby we felt completely at ease, the whole Boathouse team are very friendly, professional go above & beyond to help.

The venue is beautiful all year round, the surroundings are idilic and everything we could have asked for, for our special day. Communication from the team was brilliant, I would highly recommend going to the open day’s to really take in the beauty of the place. We recently got married at Aston Marina and from the second we enquired the service was incredible. We dealt with Beckie for all of our booking and organising and she was incredible. Nothing was too much effort and she even helped us with smaller details we maybe weren’t sure on. She took in every little detail we wanted and she was nothing but accommodating if we changed our minds. When setting up and on the day we dealt with Paige who was equally as wonderful. Once again nothing was too much detail and she continued to check in with us through out the day. We got married at the Boat House on June 16th and there are not enough words to describe how perfect the day was. From the start Beckie was so helpful making sure everything was explained to us and ran smoothly. Then on the day all the staff were super friendly and helpful. There are so many lovely places to take photos and plenty of room for lots of guests. My bridesmaids and I had a lovely room to get ready in.

The team at Aston Marina were absolutely fantastic and made our big day absolutely perfect. They were so accommodating, they were able to let us personalise our menu, sorted breakfast for the bridal party as they were getting prepped in their bridal prep room, prepared a custom cocktail for us on our request as well as anything else we asked really. The food was unbelievable and they were brilliant in catering for our vegan guests as well as any allergies. Our vegan guests said they have never been catered for so well anywhere they have gone.The venue is absolutely beautiful, we were able to have our ceremony outside in the gorgeous grounds. The indoor area is amazing too with plenty of space to comfortably sit the 70+ guests we had for the wedding breakfast as well as an additional 15 for the evening. The team were so helpful allowing us to drop decorations off early and going through any questions. And letting us view the venue in the lead up to the wedding. All in all it is the perfect wedding venue.

We held our wedding at Aston Marina earlier this summer after cancelling our original date in 2021 due to COVID. We had a fantastic experience at The Boat House. Our day was seamless. The staff were so accommodating and helpful. They advised us every step of the way when planning our big day and made the whole day run smoothly. The food was delicious and the menu options available to couples are really varied. We highly recommend the sit down bbq grill. Our guests loved the variety of food served and said it was one of the memorable moments from our day. From the very first enquiry to even after the big day, the team couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly or reassuring. The venue itself is stunning, the calmness and feeling like you’re away from the whole world, the just stunning light feature and all the modern amenities ticked a lot of boxes for us. The prep room was a god send, both for the morning and throughout the day. The food was immense and was raved about both at our tasting evening and on the day itself. But the thing that brings it all together is the team. Beckie who dealt with our initial enquiry was there throughout, always ready to answer our daft questions. Paige who was there with us on the day, who set up and just made the morning (and the day itself) run like clockwork. She was just amazing and helped to maintain the calm environment I wanted through the morning, whilst also working so hard in the background to ensure our day ran seamlessly. And Alex who kept us on track on the evening and just every single member of staff we came across was friendly and polite. I could write pages on just how much I love this venue, but I will leave it at this – if you’re looking for your sign to book – this is it. I wish we could have the day again over and I’m so excited for those who will get to experience their wedding here.

Our original date was 18th June 2020. Of course this was then postponed and rearranged a few times before we finally got our wedding day on 25th Aug 2021. I’m sure everyone will agree, rearranging a wedding, with all the uncertainties that came with it was heart-breaking and completely demotivating. Aston Marina did everything in their power to make it as stress free as possible. I think it is so important to acknowledge how well Aston Marina handled this, many venues can make a perfect wedding day, but a truly exceptional one to still be able to make a perfect wedding day when it all goes wrong in the lead up.

Everything felt completely taken care of. If there was one thing I never had to stress about during wedding planning, Aston was definitely one of them. Emails are responded to quickly, if you want to just pop in and see the venue for ideas and inspiration, they do their best to accommodate. They were also able to adapt quickly for example, we had 2 people drop out due to positive tests, but their daughter and grandson who originally couldn’t make it could now come in their place, and we were able to swap their meals without any fuss at all. From start to finish, everything went so flawlessly. The staff were super polite and professional.

When the wedding gets brought up, something that always gets mentioned is the GRAVY. We had the Bourguignon, and everyone absolutely drooled over the food. Both the hubby and I are massive foodies, we are ever so happy that people take that memory away with them! Aston were amazing with a few people who had dietary restrictions. One gent who was Coeliac, and was ever so grateful that the venue were able to accommodate hassle free.

The team at Aston Marina were brilliant throughout the pandemic and their flexibility meant that all of the re-arrangements were straight forward and no additional charges too! All of the staff were very respectful and made us feel like our wedding was the only wedding in the world. No detail was too small for them and they were incredibly patient when we wanted to run through arrangements for the 76th time. We pretty much had nothing to do in the days before hand, the team were really well organised and took every stress and strain away from us.

The venue is beautiful and having everything in one place is amazing. There is a large deck area for guests to relax when the weather is nice. It is a very peaceful and self contained location for the wedding with everything you could wish for including a large car park, well stocked bar and plenty of room for the disco.

There is only one word for our wedding day and that is perfect. The staff at Aston Marina went above and beyond to ensure that it would be nothing less than perfect. I cannot recommend enough for anyone to get married here. We have been to another wedding at this venue and it was a perfect day too. If you are wondering whether to have your wedding here, stop wondering and start booking – you will not regret it.
