We are delighted to have been awarded Gold for the Independent Restaurant of the Year in 2019 and 2022, followed by Highly Commended in 2023.

Winning the 'Good Food Award' each year for the last 4 years is something that we are incredibly proud of and helps to express our endeavour for continual improvement and the highest standards for food and service.

The Great Taste Awards were accredited to us when we operated the Farm Shop and the chefs in the Bistro cooked dishes that were sold in the shop as well as the Bistro. We achieved these awards after rigorous judging and taste testing. Recipes that have been awarded Great Taste Awards include our triple chocolate brownie, chocolate tiffin, steak & ale pie and salmon, prawn & tarragon fishcake. These dishes following the same award winning recipes can still be found on our seasonal menus from time to time.

We are delighted to employ apprentices in partnership with Newcastle & Stafford College Group and have a very successful relationship. Chefs and front of house team members thrive learning at work and in the college environment.

Our consistently great guests reviews have enabled us to win the Trip Advisor travellers choice award on multiple occasions.
