We are very excited to be open again and look forward to welcoming you.
Please be assured that the safety of our team and customers remains our number one priority and we are doing everything and more to remain diligent. We have developed new ways of working based on government guidance and internal policies.
Reserve Your Table
We will be operating a bookings only policy for food and drinks to begin with, ensuring the best management of customer numbers and social distancing.
We require contact details for all customers.
Please call us to book your table inside, outside on the courtyard or outside on the decking. Initially the largest table size will be for 6 people. The majority of our tables have been spaced 2 metres apart. In the conservatory where the tables are fixed we have placed screens in between the tables.
01785 819702 between 9am – 5pm daily.
From Saturday 4th July we will be launching our new summer 2020 menus. They will be slightly reduced compared to previous menus in order to compensate for social distancing in the kitchen and safe working practices for our team. The menus will expand as social distancing measures relax. The Restaurant and Courtyard will have a full three course menu with snacks and light bites served on our usual crockery, the Decking will have a snack menu served in disposable packaging.
All menus will be available to view online.
Table Service & Payments
When you arrive you will notice new signs and floor markings displaying hand sanitiser stations, social distancing and one way flows.
Our friendly team will still be on hand to assist and will meet you and show you to your table. From there, it’s table service only and we will be taking payment by card at the time of ordering your food and drinks. The team taking orders will have their own card machine and you can order as many times as you like.
Card only, contactless wherever possible, no cash please.
In order to give everyone the greatest reassurance possible we will be taking the temperature of everyone entering the building, staff and customers. If anyones temperature reads over 37.8 degrees celcius they will not be permitted inside and asked to leave the premises to ensure public safety. If this occurs please use the governments Track & Trace to help contain any potential spread of coronavirus.
Initially we will be open from 10.00am to 10.00pm for drinks and from 12.00pm to 9.00pm for food. Food will be served throughout in order to space out arrival times and guest numbers. Please remember to call and book ahead.
We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with the people who work here. We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace. We have cleaning, hand washing and hygiene procedures in line with government guidance. Our team will be wearing face visors.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss your requirements, please give us a call or send an email.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Dining is an immersive experience, and we believe that the setting and the food are equally important. In designing No.26 we aimed to create an informal, cosy dining space that feels truly special. From the light-flooded conservatory area overlooking the marina to the interior dining space arranged around our huge wood burning stove, relaxation and enjoyment are nurtured.
The food, meanwhile, has put us firmly on the map as one of Staffordshire’s destination restaurants. Menus change with each season and the produce we use is genuinely local. This, alongside daily and weekly specials, means that there’s also something new to try – while old favourites like our pies, burgers and steaks from the grill are always on offer. At No.26 traditional British dishes rub shoulders with global flavours; modern surroundings combine with service with a smile – all this adds up to dining with a difference. Whether you join us for breakfast, lunch, dinner, simply for drinks or to catch up with friends over coffee and cake, we want you to relax and thoroughly enjoy your time in No.26.
