We have had the absolute pleasure of hosting several intimate post-COVID weddings since government restrictions eased. These have been some of the most emotional and beautiful celebrations we have ever hosted and it has been such a joy to begin getting back to doing what we love after such a difficult year for so many.
If you are looking to tie the knot in a beautiful intimate ceremony over the coming months we would be delighted to assist. Please contact our events team on 01785 819702 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Mr & Mrs Key – Thursday 13th August 2020
Our first post-lockdown wedding! After a turbulent few months awaiting government announcements and having to completely re-think plans for their big day, Emily & Connor tied the knot in a beautiful outdoor ceremony surrounded by their nearest & dearest. The anxious build up made for one of the most emotional ceremonies we have had the pleasure of witnessing. Their reduced guest list made for an intimate celebration and we were so honoured to be a part of it all. As a fabulous personal touch, Emily arranged for a pristine John Deere tractor to arrive at The Boat House for some fabulous shots of the newlyweds – including their gorgeous little dog Beau! Emily & Connor then headed to the family farm to capture some gorgeous shots and to raise a glass to their marriage. We can’t wait to welcome them and their guests back to The Boat House next year to celebrate their wedding reception!

Mr & Mrs Renton-Williams – Saturday 29th August 2020
Back in July we had a phone call from a lovely couple to say they knew they were a little crazy but they would like to get married on Saturday 29th August and would we be able to help? We love a challenge and jumped at the chance to put our expert knowledge and contacts to the test! Fast forward 6 short weeks (with a few tense moments awaiting ever changing government guidance!) and Amie & Joe pulled together the most beautiful intimate wedding, tying the knot in a stunning outdoor ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Very few people could manage to arrange such a fantastic day in a matter of weeks – from decorations to photographer, dresses to cake! Throw in to the mix a gorgeous baby girl and you’ll soon see why the only way we can describe Amie is superwoman! It was such an honour to join them on the rollercoaster ride that was planning their big day and we wish them every happiness for their future lives together.

Mr & Mrs Ram – Sunday 6th September 2020
The long overdue wedding of Mr & Mrs Ram was an extra special one for us, as Andy & Danielle were due to tie the knot back in May but were forced to postpone their big day. After a crazy few months and having already pushed back their wedding once, they were determined not to wait any longer and were finally wed in a beautiful intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest friends & family. The sun shone on the newlyweds, who were able to say I do in an idyllic outdoor ceremony before treating their guests to a delicious three course meal. We know you will all agree that Danielle was an absolute vision in her gorgeous dress, but the show was very nearly stolen by little Elsie and Doug the pug!
We were so honoured to host their celebrations and can’t wait to welcome them back to The Boat House next year for part 2!

Mr & Mrs Dent – Saturday 19th September 2020
Naomi & Oliver were forced to postpone their big day earlier this year, and when restrictions finally eased their original venue were sadly unable to assist. A mere 6 weeks before their wedding date they gave us a call and a whirlwind later we had the absolute pleasure of hosting their wedding reception! Having tied the knot at their local church, Naomi & Ollie joined us at The Boat House with their nearest and dearest to enjoy a stunning champagne reception designed by the newlyweds themselves. Guests were treated to a three course meal, followed by some fantastic speeches and a delicious slice of cake, before joining together for a sparkler send off as the happy couple departed. Naomi & Ollie are absolutely perfect for each other and it was truly an honour to join them on this rollercoaster ride. We wish them a lifetime of love, happiness & laughter together!
