Yay! Some of our first homegrown fresh produce is ready at last! From field to fridge in 30 seconds - it doesn't get any fresher than that! Try our fabulous organically grown early rhubard, baby leeks and fresh garden herbs - while stocks last. Don't forget we cut our herbs to order to ensure they are at their freshest for you - ask our staff for more information.
On Easter Sunday (31st March), our friendly butchers Nick & Rich are launching new Sizzling Sundays when Food Club customers get £5 off every £50 spent on meat every Sunday. Even if you're not a Food Club member you still can claim four of Rich's beautiful hand made pork sausages with any 2 rump, sirloin or ribeye steaks purchased.
Our fabulous butchery counter, run by our master butcher Nick and his team, offers a traditional range of the finest, locally sourced meat. As well as rearing our own animals on the farm nearby, we work with local assured farms, selecting prime stock from traditional breeds. The standards of welfare and husbandry are always of foremost importance in our choice of supplier, and this shines through in the flavour of the meat the animals produce.
Our beef is hung for 28 days on the bone, to ensure maximum flavour and peak tenderness. We hand pick slow-reared beasts of optimum condition with ideal fat coverage to ensure our beef ages perfectly, and produces beautifully marbled cuts. Our own herd of Long Horn cattle will soon be roaming the lush meadows around the marina!
Our lamb is reared by neighbouring farmer Graham Parry. His flocks freely roam pasture and hillsides at Willow Grange Farm just under 2 miles from Aston Marina.
Our pork and bacon is from outdoor reared free range pigs lovingly cared for by Martyn and Helen Rowley at Shiffords Grange Farm, as well as from our own small herd of traditional Gloucester Old Spot pigs. We also source traditional Berkshire and Tamworth pigs from local small holders whenever possible.
One of Aston Marina's specialities is goat! Our own small herd of Boer goats are reared on the farm across the canal from the marina. Their meat is great tasting and very low in fat and cholesterol; perfect for the figure conscious foodie!
Another exclusive to Aston Marina is prime venison, from Idlerocks Deer Park at Moddershall, just outside stone. Stockman Adrian Walton's magnificent deer produce a very similar range of cuts as a lamb and are absolutely stunning eating.
We also offer a fabulous wide selection of free range poultry, ducks, geese, partridge, pheasant, pigeon, guinea fowl, rabbit, wild boar and more!
